About us
Established in 1980, Five Miles From Anywhere No Hurry Inn is a pub and restaurant located in the Hamlet of Upware, just outside the ancient City of Ely in the Cambridgshire Fens. Its beautiful setting overlooking the River Cam is within walking distance of Wicken Fen Nature Reserve and next to Upware Marina.
Serving traditional pub fayre, home cooked meals and a selection of specials that change daily, including gluten free food and drink, plus vegan and vegetarian options. We have plenty of space in the bar, conservatory, restaurant and gardens, plus ample on site parking.
From the music to the carefully curated list of food and drinks, our friendly staff craft a unique experience for our guests. Whether it's a meal with friends and family, or just a quiet drink by the river, you’re always welcome.

Main Bar
The Five Miles is a free house so we offer a great range of Real Ales, Lager, Cider, Wine and Spirits from all your old favourites and some local breweries.
Conservatory
The light and airy Conservatory has ample seating and beautiful riverside views
Restaurant
Our 65 seat restaurant overlooks the River Cam and surrounding area.
All seating areas are now on a first come first served basis
Garden
Our large gardens stretch both sides of the slipway and we have plenty of outdoor seating.
Wheelhouse Bar
The Wheelhouse bar has been freshly refurbished and is now a great family room
Moorings
We have 72 hour customer moorings outside the pub and on the meadow, plus 48 hour moorings on the opposite side of the river, however you will need to make your own way across by dingy
Sorry we can't accommodate any overnight stays at the moment as all outdoor space is being used for additional seating and parking
